Carbide Cutters: designed for wood cutting

  • Round Cutters

    The Hollow Fast round cutters are made with very fine particle micro carbide - also known as nano carbide to provide a very sharp edge necessary for woodturning.  They are designed specifically for the wood turner by TMI Products.

    We have two styles of round cutters: the Scraper and Shear that come in either 6mm or 10mm.  The larger the cutter the more aggressive the cut can be made.  Also, more vibration is probable the more aggressive the cut.

    The Scraper cutters are designed for a more aggressive cut.  They have a 3 degree inside angle that achieves a sharper edge than a straight flat scraper.  Our matched cutter holder for this style of cutter has a 3 degree incline that allows the scraper cutter to present a zero degree scraping surface when cutting.

    The Shear cutters are designed for very smooth cutting. They cut on an angled "shear" like a knife or gouge. They are very precise and very sharp.

Cutters Holders and Accessories

  • Cutter Holders

    • Holds the carbide cutter securely in place at either a fixed or adjustable angle.

  • Swivel Cutter Holder Clamps

    • Secures the Cutter Holder in place on the hollowing bar.

    • Swivels for reverse cutting angles.

  • Articulating Holder Platform Extension

    • Allows cutter holder to be extended beyond the existing bar and swivel clamp.

  • Swivel Holder Platform Adapter Kit with 1/2" round shank

    • Adapt any system to our cutters with this adapter.  H750-15 Hollowing bar with a 1/2" mounting hole is available.
